Will my case have a trial?

Despite the frequency of intense courtroom depictions in movies, plays, and other forms of entertainment, the majority of cases are resolved before they reach trial. Depending upon the nature of your case, your attorney will attempt to persuade the defendant’s legal representatives that a settlement should be tendered because of the presence of convincing evidence against their client. If successful, this eliminates the uncertainty surrounding a jury or judge’s review of a legal matter. This is not always possible, however, and it may be desirable in some instances to seek a formal jury trial.
