A 55-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday night when a car crashed into his motorcycle in Waco, Texas, authorities said. The motorcyclist was driving eastbound on the road when a car driven by an 18-year-old woman pulled out in front of him, police said. She had stopped at the stop sign, reports say, but she said she could not see the motorcyclist because the sun was in her eyes.
The man was thrown 20 feet from the impact of the crash, authorities said. He was taken to Providence Health Center, authorities said, and then transferred to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
