A van heading to a child care center was hit by a car whose driver didn’t stop at a red light Wednesday morning, police said. The accident occurred near the intersection of 11th Street and Franklin Avenue as the van was on its way to Talitha Koum Institute.
The van’s driver struck her head on the vehicle in the crash, the center’s executive director said, but none of the children was injured. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The executive director said new safety seats were installed in the van last week.

A woman was injured in a single-car rollover accident Thursday morning on Interstate 35 in Waco, authorities say. She lost control of her vehicle in the center lane, swerved to the outside lane and flipped several times, police say. She hit the median curb, authorities say, and went down the median, landing on the frontage road.
The woman was out of her vehicle when authorities arrived, but they didn’t know if she was ejected during the accident. She was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. She told authorities on the scene that she was diabetic.

An 85-year-old Waco man drove through a red light and into another vehicle last week, killing one woman and injuring three others, including two children. She was a passenger. Her children, both 12, were riding in the back of the vehicle. The vehicle’s driver was injured as well.
Police said that all five people involved were taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, where the mother later died. The 85-year-old man received a ticket for driving through a red light.

A 39-year-old woman was indicted Wednesday for manslaughter for a December accident killing a 45-year-old motorcyclist. The member of Bikers Against Child Abuse was hit and killed while on a Christmas toy run. He was thrown from his motorcycle and taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, where he died.
The motorist failed to yield at a stoplight. At the scene, in addition to being cited for this, she was also cited for having an unsecured child in a moving vehicle.

A vehicle veered off a road in Waco into a yard, hitting a tree and a parked pickup truck before going through the wall of a house and into the kitchen Feb 1.
When the truck was hit, one of its front tires hit a resident who was taking out the trash. He declined treatment, saying he only had a sore foot.
The woman driving the car was disoriented and taken to the hospital. She claims to have taken some over-the-counter allergy medication earlier that day.

A high-speed traffic accident near Gatesville sent a 17-year-old boy to Scott & White Hospital in Temple Friday.
The boy told authorities his vehicle hit a power pole while driving 100 miles per hour. A helicopter flew him to the hospital Friday afternoon.
Damage to the pole and related equipment totaled around $3,000, said Texas-New Mexico Power Co. Traffic was backed up several hours while repairs were made.

A freak car accident has sent two Temple men to a local hospital. One suffered serious scalp injuries.
The men were driving in a Dodge Caravan on I-95 Saturday when the driver lost control on a curve and sent the minivan flying over a curb. The vehicle flipped several times, jumped five feet into the air, and finally came to a stop after smashing into a power pole.
Emergency responders had to be very difficult removing the men from the crash because of surrounding power lines. Both men are being treated for their injuries.

An early Sunday morning accident resulted in the death of a 35 year-old-man according to reports. The man was killed in an accident around 2:40 a.m.
The accident only involved only the victim who was the driver. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. The accident is currently under investigation.

Nearly 60 cattle were let loose on the roads after an 18-wheeler flipped over and landed on its side in Waco. The accident took place Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m.
According to reports, the cattle were able to get free from the trailer and began to roam around. Some of the cattle were injured in the accident. The accident is currently under investigation. A large traffic jam was reported as officials and authorities attempted to round up the l0ose animals.

A woman from Dallas has been injured in Waco following an accident that took place on I-35.
The accident took place on I-35 shortly after midnight over the weekend. According to reports, the woman was injured after her vehicle collided with another truck.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. The current condition of the woman is not yet known at this time.
